IRIA Instructor Members have been professionally trained and audited by a qualified IRIA assessor using the IRIA Risk Matrix® for their educational training program. This process is two-fold:
- Instructor training and delivery review with the IRIA Risk Matrix® by a qualified IRIA Instructor program manager.
- Instructor audit during their training course (company or agency) with the IRIA Risk Matrix®
by a qualified IRIA assessor.
IRIA does not supply the educational training program itself, but does audit the Instructor candidate using their curricula with the Risk Matrix® for International Standard conformity.
There are 2 IRIA instructor categories:
- Technical
- Specialist
Once the formal process and qualification approval is processed, IRIA Instructors are professional Instructor members of IRIA. They receive IRIA endorsement that reflects on their educational management system and safety for those entrusted in their care during their training courses.
International Rescue Instructors Association – Professional Members are Certified or Accredited as an instructor; either by IRIA or through an equivalent standard by an accepted, equivalent Standards organization recognized by IRIA.
