IRIA MEMBERSHIP CONFIDENTIALITY
As an international and necessarily virtual organization the International Rescue Instructors Association (IRIA) fundamental operating principles of the IRIA is ‘confidentiality’.
As we strictly respect the confidential information of our members, in turn our members respect the IRIA’s confidential information.
- GENERAL MEMBERS
Confidentiality allows Members to communicate freely on the internal IRIA assigned forums. General members are not granted access to other forums assigned to upper level members, but enjoy access to the general open forums.
2. INDUSTRY MEMBERS
Industry members who support the international water safety community with products that make our jobs easier.
3. ASSOCIATE MEMBERS
The Associate Members forum is invitational only to registered IRIA members who are granted full access. This is a critical function of the membership forum. The forums are discussion boards where members can ask questions, assist other members and share collective information.
At times content that is assigned for Associate Members only and is not yet approved for release to the public, and Associate Members must agree to operate under the Confidentiality Terms in the Code of Conduct.
4. PROFESSIONAL MEMBERS
The Professional Members only forum is also invitational only to registered IRIA members who are granted full access. Professional Members sign a Confidentiality agreement to ensure that the content of projects that are still in development remain within the working groups they are assigned to.
It is International Rescue Instructors Association policy that data, research and other information shared within the IRIA membership remains the property of the International Rescue Instructors Association or if copyrighted by the member it remains with the member.
Copyrighted material can only be shared with written permission by the author in agreement in advance. Again this allows the freedom to exchange within the IRIA group.
The rule of reciprocity, as it applies to confidentiality between the all IRIA members and is in effect irrespective of the members position or membership level.
